David Dahl was one of fantasy baseball’s most-coveted darlings heading into the season after his Melky Cabrera Jersey sterling debut last year.Unfortunately, Dahl has not been able to shake a rib injury, which has kept him out of the Rockies lineup all season. Manager Bud Black doesn’t think Dahl will be making his season debut anytime soon. He’s still a ways away. Still not able to (show) 100 percent exertion on the swing,Black said, via the Denver Post.Dahl, 23, was able to take live batting practice at the Rockies’ Paulo Orlando Jersey complex on Friday, but he did not swing a bat on Saturday.I kind of took a day off, I was pretty sore from yesterday, Dahl said Saturday. My muscles were sore. My swing was a little bit shaky just because I hadn’t swung a bat in a while. The muscles just tightened up a little bit.Dahl carried a.315/.359/.500slash line with seven home runs and 24 RBIs in 63 games last season. However, with Mark Reynolds holding down first base and Ian Desmond back from the disabled list, Dahl may find playing time hard to come by even after he regains his health.Charlie Blackmon, who has emerged as one of the best outfielders in MLB, and Joakim Soria Jersey Gerardo Parra are also currently starting in Colorado’s outfield. It’s inevitable, based on past results, that Reynolds or Parra will slow down, but for now, Dahl seems like a long shot for consistent playing time in the near future.
Sanders Commings saw his NFL career come to an end in the summer of 2014 when he https://www.rockiesedges.com/colorado-rockies/todd-helton-jersey suffered a broken ankle during training camp. The 26-year-old Georgia native is getting another shot to be a profe sional athlete, signing a contract Thursday to play baseball for the Atlanta Braves. The Braves signed Commings to a minor league deal in a low-risk, high-reward move.”We feel this is a tremendous athlete and an even better person,” Braves general manager John Coppolella told MLB.com. “Our mantra has always been to leave no stone unturned. What’s the downside here?”Commingslast appeared in a competitive baseball game in 2008 Charlie Blackmon Jersey while at Westside High School in Augusta. He was selected by the Diamondbacks in the 37th round of the 2008 MLB Draft, but chose to play football at the University of Georgia.Following a standout career with the Bulldogs, Commings was a fifth-round pick of the Chiefs in 2013. He broke his left collarbone as a rookie and then needed surgery for his broken ankle the following summer. The 6-0, 223-pound former defensive back played in just two NFL games, recording one tackle.Commings said seeing former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow sign a minor league deal with the Mets last year inspired him to again try his hand at baseball. Commings has been training with former MLB player Jerry Hairston Jr.”He Jon Gray Jersey ‘s strong, he’s got pop, he’s just a tremendous athlete you just don’t find that,” Hairston told MLB.com earlier this month. “You never know how a guy will react in Double-A or Triple-A. But he is worth the gamble, I can tell you that.”I told Sanders, ‘We want to get the best organization for you that will help you develop and get as many at-bats as po sible,’” Hairston added. “He’s still young, and he’s got the tools.”
For a moment, forget what you’ve read and heard in the Adam LaRoche-takes-his-kid-to-work saga.Forget the discu sion about work-life balance, about how it’s the same thing LaRoche’s father did with him, and about how no other busine s would’ve tolerated a kid in the office all Danny Salazar Jersey day, every day.PHOTOS: Drake and dad: See younger LaRoche through the yearsThere are two more important questions that remain unanswered:1.If there were complaints, why was LaRoche told to dial it back based on the gripes of what had to be just a few players?2.Regardle s of the reason, how could White Sox executive vice president Ken Williams either not know or not care that his decision would have such an effect on his clubhouse?MORE: Williams to blame, must pay | Long history of fathers, sons and baseballBy all accounts, 14-year-old Drake LaRoche is/was a beloved figure in the White Sox clubhouse, just as he was in the Nationals’ locker room in Washington, where LaRoche played before coming to Chicago. That means any decision to complain to the front office was far from a unanimous oneamong LaRoche’s teammates. And it probably was a quietone.MORE: Famous fathers and sons in sportsMaybe a couple of rookies didn’t feel they had the standing in the clubhouse to addre s the i sue internally. Perhaps it was a recently arrived veteran who also didn’t feel it was his place to bring it up. Maybe there was another reason. It could’ve been any of these and it could’ve been none.Regardle s of the who or the why, Williams made the decision to fix something that wasn’t broken, perhaps on the complaints of a few who would apparently put self before team and now sit anonymously in a clubhouse whose chemistry is at least temporarily tainted.Teams have guidelines, but for the most part the clubhouse is a players’ democracy of sorts. If a majority of players likes something a certain way, it’s probably best for di senters to let it go, especially if things are cool otherwise.Until there’s evidence that a clubhouse X-factor is significantly affecting team chemistry or, worse yet, negatively affecting play on the field, the majority should rule. There’s no evidence of either in the White Sox’scase. In other words, things didn’t look like this. If Williams’ decision was the result of complaints, why not tell the complainers to get over it, given how popular Drake is with the rest of the team?To find in favor of a small minority over a clear majority would be odd.But that’s relatively minor compared to this:Did Williams not anticipate how his players would react? Did he really not know? Or did he not care? Either one doesn’t bode well for a team trying to revamp the clubhouse dynamic, unle s the team wants an us-vs.-them dynamic.Front-office types will often keep in touch with a veteran or two to gauge clubhouse chemistry or just to have a finger on the pulse of the team. That apparently wasn’t happening on the South Side, at least not with Williams.Ace pitcher Chris Sale reportedly tore into Williams during a tense Andrew Miller Jersey clubhouse meeting after the decision was announced, with Sale telling Williams he isn’t in the clubhouse enough to know the deal.Sale wasn’t alone; players even considered boycotting a game. From all reports, LaRoche had the OK of general manager Rick Hahn and manager Robin Ventura to bring Drake https://www.indiansedge.com/cleveland-indians/yan-gomes-jersey sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, , , sunrise viagra, , sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra, sunrise viagra. around as much as he wanted. The reversal from on highapparently bothered teammates as much as anything.F-bombs aplenty flew during the White Sox’s meeting with Kenny Williams. Players so pi sed they considered boycott, as @karlravechespn said. Jeff Pa san (@JeffPa san) March 17, 2016Given all this, we can deducethat Drake LaRoche’s presence wasn’t just another minor clubhouse preference such as what’s on the TVs or what’s in the snack tray. No way players would consider boycotting if they wanted M&Ms but were only given Skittles. This was something players felt strongly about. And though a major league clubhouse is far from a typical office, for the bo s to not know this shows, at best, a lack of communication and, at worst, a complete disconnect with his employees. For a bo s to know but not care, well, that doesn’t seem like it would end well for anybody. And all of this dovetails with the question of whether players complained and Williams was just the me senger who took the bullet for them. Jeff Pa san (@JeffPa san) March 17, 2016Williams has said he doesn’t care whether he’s popular in the clubhouse. Maybe this illustrates that. But it doesn’t seem like the tone a front office wants to set so close to the start of a new season with high hopes. So a little more than two weeks from opening day, the White Sox are, at least until/unle s LaRoche reconsiders his retirement, down a player, up $13 million and left with a whole lot of hard feelings.
The Marlins almost had the worst Friday ever.It was bad enough to have anight game in Los Angeles on Thursday and then fly two time zones for a game against the Brewers.
